Beginning Class

The Banat el Kamar Spring Concert has been an annual event since 1986.

Intermediate-Advanced Class

Dancers from the Banat el Kamar classes perform for an enthusiastic audience of family, friends and dance community.

Skills & Shimmies class

The 2009 Concert on May 16 included class and teacher performances, soloists from various classes and guest performers.

Special Thanks

A lot of work goes into the Spring Concert, and many people participate. We offer special thanks to DJ Sota for running our music, Brian Timm for our show photos, and the videographers of Token Media for producing our DVD.

We also want to thank Jan and the staff of Praff Community Education Center.

Pratt Ice Cream Socials

The Pratt Ice Cream social is an annual celebration of the Prospect Park neighborhood. Featured are games, food, performances and tours of the mysterious Witch's Hat water tower. The next Ice Cream Social is June 4, 2010.

Banat el Kamar dancers have participated in Ice Cream Socials since 1989. We share the stage with other performing classes at Pratt, including tap dancers, drummers and the ever-popular band Machinery Hill.
